And we are off...

So, this morning I am browsing facebook and notice something that  catches my eye.  It is a notification that my sis in law, Natalie, has posted a new entry on her blog.  "What?" I say..."Natalie has a blog?".  So I go a read it and think that this is something that I need to do.  For over a year now I have been reading my Aunt Tami's blog and have been happily entertained to do so but now...well, if Nan can do it so can I.  Natalie said that she wanted to blog so she wouldn't forget the little things in her kids life.  I am sad that I now have forgotten 14 years of the little things in my kids life!  The things said or done that made me laugh for that day.  I want them back! Oh I tried to keep journals and write these things down but now I dont even know where they are.  I think that this will be a fun and easy alternative for me.  So, I'm sorry Kelsey, Rachel, Riley, and Sam but we will just have to pick from here.
This first blog I thought that I would update on the summer of 2010.  You know how at the end of the school year you are always so excited for the summer to come so you can just relax?  Ya, that didn't happen for us.  It seems every year that the summer is busier that the school year had been.  I love it!
So here are some quick highlights:

Kelsey attended trek, yw camp and EFY all this summer!

Kelsey also represented the family in Canada at the Leavitt reunion.

Now Rachel:

She got to attend her first overnight camp with her BFF, Ashley.  They went for three days to Camp Shadow Mountain.  (Ya no pictures.  I realize doing this that I have got to get better about taking pictures!)

Riley loves soccer and enjoyed a soccer camp this summer.

Sam got to ride horses twice this summer.

One of a few trips fishing this summer before...
starting school, again!

And me...I spent the summer with the YW at trek, girls camp, sewing, swimming, and running.

Dan and our "boys" pulling through one of the many mud holes.
4am will do this to a pioneer!

  1. It's about time!!

By the way, I will take full credit for encouraging Natalie to start her blog. Although she rejected the title I came up with. Oh well.

  2. I love it!! Makes me feel like you guys are not so far away. :)

  3. Don't feel bad Adrianne...I am the same as you and you can see how often I blog..."Great, now I have guilt" (as said by Rex in Toy Story 2) You have just inspired me to do better with blogging...again :)

  4. I'm glad to hear you all have blogs. I have 2 of them, but only one of them is public. I can send invites to my family one if you'd all like to see what we're up to as well. Great job on wanting to start fresh and remember the little things. I forget a lot of ours at our house too.
